Your Weekly UV-C Disinfection Report, Explained
This page explains the weekly UV-C disinfection email you receive from R-Zero and the spreadsheet attached to it. It is written for anyone who reads the report — no technical background needed.
What the email is
Once a week, R-Zero sends you a summary of the UV-C disinfection activity that took place in your building(s) over the previous week. Each email covers a single building. If your organization has several buildings, you'll receive one email per building.
The dates in the report — and all times in the attached spreadsheet — are shown in your building's local timezone.
The numbers in the email
The email opens with a set of headline numbers for the week:

| Cycles | The total number of disinfection cycles that ran in your building during the week. A cycle is one complete disinfection run by one device in one place. |
| Devices | How many different UV-C devices ran at least one cycle. |
| Locations disinfected | How many distinct places in your building (rooms, zones, and so on) received at least one disinfection cycle. |
| Average cycle time | The average length of a disinfection cycle that week. |
| Total cycle time | The combined running time of every cycle that week. |
If your building uses more than one type of R-Zero device — Arc, Beam, or Vive — the email also breaks these same numbers down per device type. A device type only appears in the breakdown if it actually ran cycles that week.
The attached spreadsheet
The email includes a spreadsheet named like:

The two dates are the start and end of the reporting week. You can open the file in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application.
Each row is one disinfection cycle. The columns are:
| Column | What it means |
| Property, Building, Floor, Zone, Room, Placement | Where the cycle happened, from the broadest level (the property) down to the most specific (a placement within a room). Not every level applies to every cycle — blank cells simply mean that level of detail doesn't apply to that location. |
| Serial Number | The identifier of the device that ran the cycle. |
| Type | The kind of device (Arc, Beam, or Vive). |
| Start Time | When the cycle began, in your building's local time. |
| End Time | When the cycle finished, in your building's local time. |
| Duration (Seconds) | How long the cycle ran, in whole seconds. |
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't a particular room appear in the spreadsheet?
The spreadsheet only lists cycles that actually ran during the reporting week. If a location had no disinfection cycles that week, it won't have a row.
Why is a very short cycle missing from the report?
Cycles recorded with a duration of less than one second are excluded.
Can a cycle be missing from the report?
Yes, in one situation: if a device ran cycles but isn't assigned to a location in your building, those cycles can't be placed anywhere in the report, so they won't appear. If you believe a device's activity is missing, check that the device is assigned to a location, or reach out to your R-Zero contact.
I didn't receive a report this week — is something wrong?
Not necessarily. The report is only sent for weeks in which your building had at least one disinfection cycle. If no cycles ran that week, no email is sent. If you believe cycles did run and you still didn't receive a report, reach out to your R-Zero contact.
